A taste of the real Dubai 24/05/2009
  We went to the tailor last week and then to a leaving party in Satwa - finally I've found a hint of the old Dubai. The tailor had been there 15 years and is an amazing character. the shop is laden with bags of fabric, western magazines and half-finished clothes and rumbles with the guys on the machines on the make-shift mezzanine above your heads. The mosque sings outside and the cars and bicycles speed past. I was in another world, brilliant!
